“북한 핵실험에 대한 결의문” 민주평통 토론토 협의회

북한은 지난 1.6일 4차 핵실험을 하였습니다.
 
한반도의 평화 통일로 가는 길에 비핵화와 인권의 개선은 중요한 선결 과제 입니다.
 
한반도에 비핵화가 되는 날까지 해외동포인 우리는 노력을 해야 됩니다.
 
이에 민주평통 토론토협의회는 아래와 같이 한반도 평화를 위협하는 북한 핵실험을 규탄하는 결의문을 발표합니다.
 
북한 핵실험에 대한 결의문
 
2016.1.6일 북한의 4차 핵실험은 유엔 안보리 결의와 핵 실험금지에 대한 명백한 위반이며 국제 평화와 안보에 직접적인 위협을 주는 불법적인 도발 행위로써 이를 규탄한다.
 
하나. 북한은 국제 평화와 안보를 위해서 모든 핵무기를 폐기하고 국제사회의 일원으로 참여해야 한다.
 
하나. UN과 국제사회는 북한의 핵실험에 대한 강력한 제재를 하고 재발을 방지하여야 한다.
 
하나. 북한은 주민의 인권을 회복하고 분단된 한반도의 평화통일을 하여야 한다.

Resolution
 
Adopted by National Unification Advisory Council (NUAC) Toronto Chapter (2016)
 
We condemn the 4th nuclear test conducted by North Korea on January 6, 2016. It is not only a clear violation of the U.N. resolutions on nuclear proliferation but also an offense against humanity which threatens world peace and security. Therefore, we, as members of the National Unification Advisory Council Toronto Chapter, adopt the following resolution:
 
We urge North Korea to participate in the international society by abandoning development of nuclear weapons and abiding by international laws.
 
We request the United Nations and other international organizations to implement significant punitive measures to prevent reoccurrence of the provocation.
 
We urge North Korea to improve the human rights of its people and to make efforts toward the unification of the Korean peninsula.
